City festivals as social initiatives

The Future City Game, a part of Creative Cities project, will be held in the framework of the Cardboardia materialization in January, 12-16th in Moscow at AVANT CLUB (The Design Center “Artplay” on the bank of the Yauza river: Nizhnja Syromjatnicheskaja street, 5/7).

The aim of the game is to create a useful event with social meaning, in accordance with the terms of reference of festival organizers from Russia and Europe. One of the projects will be chosen by experts for realization on the platform of Cardboard Town just the next day after the workshop. We invite the experts in city planning, architecture and art fields from England, Nertherlands, Spain and Russia to take part in the Future City Game.

The deadline for the application for participants from outside Russia (if visa needed) is November 23, 2010, 15-00 (Moscow time), If you don’t need Russian visa , the deadline for you, is December 1, 2010, 15-00(Moscow time).

Ten (10) most interesting applicants who are not from Moscow region will be provided with the accommodation in Moscow during the event.

We give the priority to people experienced in the public and cultural events organization.

Participants should cover their travel-costs by themselves. International participants should receive tourist visa to enter Russia.
