19 мая в 19.00 в рамках фестиваля "Твой ШАНС" в Театральном центре СТД РФ «На Страстном» состоится показ Riverside Drive в постановке молодого режиссера Александра Созонова, студента Мастерской Кирилла Серебренникова.

Если кратко: секс, деньги, Нью-Йорк + или лучше: смешно, интеллектуально, абсурдно + или проще — Вуди Аллен.

Для современного человека не существует завтрашнего дня. Добившись успеха и признания, материальной независимости и всех мыслимых благ, житель большого города начинает бессмысленно прожигать свою жизнь. Вот только в какой-то момент его благополучие становится невыносимым. А беззаботное существование может изменить лишь одна мысль или случайная встреча.

Только русская театральная школа способна передать всю сложность психологических портретов героев пьесы. А их самих могут сыграть лишь настоящие американцы. Все роли в спектакле Riverside Drive исполняют блестящие молодые американские актёры, недавние выпускники Школы-студии МХАТ.

Theatre Center «Na Strastnom» invites you to the performance «Riverside Drive» by Woody Allen, staged by a young director Alexander Sozonov.

Riverside Drive is a cross-cultural unique theatre project in Russia, which pursues the aim to introduce original American drama to the Russian audience. This work created by a Russian director, producer, Russian artists and American actors constitutes a bold  synthesis of cultural and  stage traditions of different American and Russian theatre schools. This theatre project is much more than just a theatre project and the dialogue of cultures.

 In short – sex, money, New York or better – funny, intellectual, absurd, just Woody Allen.

A present – day person doesn’t have tomorrow. Getting success and recognition, financial independence and all thinkable welfare, a megalopolis inhabitant  starts to lead a dissipated life. But all of a  sudden this welfare becomes unbearable. And the careless being can be changed  by one thought or occasional meeting.

Russian Theatre School like no other is able to express all complexity of the psychological portraits of the play’s protagonists. And the “Riverside Drive”  characters can be played only by native Americans. All the parts in the performance are played brilliantly by young and audacious American actors. This performance is a research of the show space as the manner of thinking of American people.
