Russia PR manager

An outstanding startup is looking for a Russia PR Manager. This position will be based in Moscow office, where you will work closely with the Country Manager and have regular contacts with the other members of the Communication team, based in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Poland.  

This startup is the European ridesharing leader and is growing at an outstanding pace. The company culture is highly international, shaped by twenty-four different nationalities. The communication team gathers 25 people, whose mission is to spread throughout Europe the BlaBlaCar offer, story, vision and values. 

Responsibilities

You will contribute to overall communications strategy and manage all PR activities in Russia.

Main responsibilities will include: 

            •          Communicating directly with journalists and bloggers

            ◦          Handle day-to-day media inquires and briefings across Russia

            ◦          Support blogger outreach to generate online presence

            ◦          Animate Twitter

            •          Developing strategic communication plans and materials

            ◦          Write press releases for campaigns and updates

            ◦          Work with country manager to prepare for public speaking engagements or media interviews

            ◦          Regular contact (IRL & phone) with community to source case studies

            ◦          Plan and execute events in the region, including community and blogger meet-ups and press launches

            ◦          Brief and manage a PR agency

            •          Managing campaigns

            ◦          Build and implement a roadmap for PR operations in Russia

            ◦          Track and measure the success of all campaigns, including the amount and quality of press coverage.

            •          Contribute to and collaborate with the global communication team (in English)

            ◦          Participate to brainstormings about future global communication projects 

            ◦          Translate and localise global communication projects 

Desired Mindset, Skills and Experience

            •          Excellent command of English and Russian, written, read and spoken

            •          Minimum 2 years experience in Public Relations

            •          Thorough knowledge of the Russian media landscape

            •          Strong consumer/lifestyle/travel media contacts

            •          Experience in managing projects in a fast paced environment

            •          Great organisational skills

            •          Unwavering verbal communications skills in any situation

            •          Keeping your cool and sense of humour under pressure

            •          Ability to work with international teams and quickly develop an understanding for the cultural differences

            •          Must be able to work outside contractual hours when necessary
